Funded by the European Commission’s DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion and coordinated by FORBA, the international project, “Social Dialogue and Participation Strategies in the Global Delivery Industry: Challenging Precarious Employment Relations”, examines the employment conditions of workers in private postal services as well as strategies to improve their trade-union organisation. In cooperation with trade unions representing workers in international and transnational parcel services, researchers from Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany and Hungary investigate the increasingly precarious employment and working conditions in the sector. In addition, existing practices and new forms of trade-union organisation and transnational cooperation are discussed and further developed in reports, and a final conference.
